DS Smith Reduces GHG Emissions by 5% During 2023-24

DS Smith successfully reduced its overall Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 5% in the 2023-24 period, marking a 19% decrease compared to 2019-20. Landfill waste was cut by 19% from the previous year while ensuring that 90% of new packaging designs were tailored to optimize individual customer supply chains. Additionally, a substantial €90 million investment was made to implement a new biomass boiler at their Rouen paper mill, projected to save a remarkable 99,000 tonnes of CO2 annually. Notably, all 14 of their paper mills successfully engaged in biodiversity initiatives, and the company exceeded expectations by replacing over one billion pieces of plastic across their global markets a year ahead of schedule. Navigator Contributes €164 Million Towards Sustainable Investments

The Navigator Company has committed approximately €164 million to sustainable investments over the past two years.
