Forest2Market to Present at Timber and Sawn Wood Market Conference in Russia

Vasylysa Hänninen will be representing Forest2Market and speaking at the upcoming 3rd international “Timber and Sawn Wood Market” conference in Moscow, Russia on April 6, 2018. The event is being hosted by maxconference and will be held at the InterContinental Hotel Moscow Tverskaya (Tverskaya 22).

Vasylysa’s presentation will take place during the second morning session and will focus on using wood cost benchmarking as a tool for wood supply chain optimization, including:

• Problems & challenges with the Russian wood supply model (current status, increasing prices, causes, etc.)
• Benchmarking as a tool for wood supply optimization

Jarno Seppala, Head of the Department of Forest Industry and Bioresolution at Indufor, Forest2Market’s Helsinki-based partner, will also be presenting during the event’s third session. His presentation will focus on the European pellet market and prospects for Russian producers.
