João has worked for several chemical and petrochemical companies (DuPont, Exxon Chemical and Braskem), as well as consulting firms (Harriman Chemsult and IHS Markit) in the Vinyl Chain, covering the Latin American market.

Joao is a chemical engineer from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro - Brazil (UFRJ), holds a post-graduation course in Economic Engineering from UFRJ, and has an MBA from Western Ontario University - Canada.
