We are looking for a Sales Development Representative, responsible for helping to drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share. The primary function of this role is to research, identify, qualify, and prospect new clients for our online platforms and related services, and introduce those clients to our company.  The SDR role will impact our pipeline and the revenue success the sales team can generate. This is the ideal position for a self-motivated, resilient individual with an entrepreneurial and goal-oriented mindset who is receptive to feedback and can implement it immediately with a positive attitude. This position will report to our VP of Sales, Forest Value Chain. 


Job Duties

  • Generate new business opportunities by identifying and qualifying potential customers to move along the sales process
  • Make 50 - 100 calls per day to build and manage lead development pipeline
  • Update and maintain SalesForce database as appropriate
  • Work and collaborate with our Sales Team across all companies – support our goal of commercial excellence via application of marketing segmentation and targeting
  • Partner with sales and marketing teams to optimize the lead qualification process, coordinate email campaigns, and share insights to enhance content creation
  • Create awareness, boost interest, and set up demos for our forest value chain product line
  • Understand key practice areas, prospect needs, competitive differentiators, and be able to eloquently discuss our value proposition
  • Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of our services and technology platforms

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience cold calling and prospecting
  • Experience with SalesForce or similar CRM systems and databases
  • Prior experience at high-growth, SaaS
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Comfortable making cold calls, persistence
  • Positive, high-energy attitude
  • Exceptional drive, self-motivation, and passion for results
  • Very confident communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new skills and build a career in sales
