Deb Hawkinson, Next FRA President

Deb Hawkinson, Next FRA President

The Forest Resources Association recently announced the hiring of Deb Hawkinson as their new association President.  She will replace current FRA President, Richard Lewis who will retire in July.   Hawkinson was selected because of her strong background in the forestry industry and association management.  The FRA Selection team found that her forestry industry background made her "absolutely the right fit to continue FRA’s success in ensuring that FRA wood fiber supply chain members can continue to operate successfully and profitably in the U.S."

Hawkinson's experience as the current Executive Director of Hardwood Federation, where she expanded membership and the organization's government relations and communications capacities, as well as her previous experience as Director of Issues Management with the American Forest & Paper Association and her work with Weyerhauser in their Federal Affairs office, make her well qualified for this position representing the interests of the forest landowner to the wood supplier to the wood consumer.

Congratulations, Deb!
