The successful candidate for this position will be responsible for administering, maintaining, and supporting the company’s infrastructure, supporting employees, and implementing IT and security initiatives. This position will report to the Vice President of Information Technology. The role will be based in Charlotte to provide on-site support at our Headquarters location and may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule.

This is an exciting and diverse position that offers a wide range of IT and company exposure. ResourceWise maintains an on-premises business network in Charlotte, as well as some remote infrastructure and several cloud services. We have a distributed, global workforce that primarily uses Windows systems.

Job Duties

  • IT Support and Maintenance: Approximately half of the role is focused on assisting internal team members, workstation support, server patching and maintenance.
  • Infrastructure projects: The balance of the role will focus on implementing IT projects and cyber-security initiatives to run an effective and efficient IT infrastructure
  • Documenting processes and procedures
  • Participation in IT support coverage for the business and other IT related projects as needed
  • Some off-hours time may be required for server maintenance tasks or supporting international colleagues


Must have experience with:

  • Workstation setup and support; mostly Windows but some Mac
  • Windows Server administration, including Active Directory
  • Entra / M365 administration, including license management
  • Network administration and security (such as firewalls, switches, power management)
  • Asset and license management

Desired Education & Experience Requirements:

  • A degree in Computer Science, IS, or IT or a similar field.
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience in addition to a degree.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in relevant technologies may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

An ideal candidate will also have experience with:

  • Advanced M365 admin and Intune with XDR
  • SharePoint management
  • Domains and SSL support
  • Database servers in a data intensive environment
  • Experience with our software stack, such as ESET, SAS and ESRI ArcGIS
